The Team

The Recruitment Team is made up of three members; the head of recruitment, the co-recruitment officer, and the the Linkshell Master. The head of recruitment and co-recruitment officer share equal duties and will create appropriate threads and polls for approved applicants, and contact applicants with questions or concerns about the status of their application. The Linkshell Master overlooks all leaders like a grumpy mother hen.

Joining the Linkshell as a New Member

We welcome members to participate in End Game activities with us!

The Process:

How to Apply
When you arrive at our website, at the top you will see the Neutral Impact. Select Apply from the drop down. Fill out this form to the best of your ability. Please select the "End Gamer" option under "Applicant Type," if you are a Friend or Family member applicant, please read the Friend or Family section.

• Be as detailed as possible, while a novel is unnecessary, we want to feel like we know you as a person and a player. Let us know what you're proud of, what you've achieved, what you wish you could have done more of. We want to know why you find this linkshell to be a good place to house and further your gaming experience.
• Contacts aren't entirely necessary; however, sometimes we will be on the fence about your application and the final push could be a great recommendation!
• Haven't played Final Fantasy XI? No problem! Give us all of your MMO experience. If we are inexperienced with the game we may ask additional questions and information.
• If we feel we need more information, we may invite you to our Teamspeak channel for some additional questions. This will be recorded for the other members to take into consideration along with your application. If you aren't able to speak, a text-'interview' can be done easily!
• Applicants will only be considered individually. As such no "group" or "marriage" applications will be considered. If you will not join unless your friend can join, then you should not apply. This is not subject to change in the future.
• Your application will be rejected if you belong to another linkshell that partakes in "end game" activities, defined solely by the Neutral Impact leaders, and are unwilling to leave that linkshell.
• Teamspeak is mandatory. You do not have to actually speak nor have a microphone, but we are requiring members to sit in our Teamspeak channel when an event is taking place. It is far more efficient and speedy for leaders to give instructions and organize during events via Teamspeak. During non-linkshell events like exping, questing, or crafting, you are not required to participate in Teamspeak.
• You must be Level 50 in at least 5 battle classes to apply.

The Discussion
After applying your application will immediately be given to the members of Neutral Impact for a 48 hour discussion.

The Vote
After we discuss your application we will vote. Each member of Neutral Impact has an opportunity to vote on your application. The poll will last a minimum of 24 hours and a maximum of 72 hours. If a result is obvious, the poll will be closed early.

The Results
In order to be accepted into Neutral Impact and receive a linkpearl - your poll must receive a 67% approval vote. This percentage is a hard cap and any results within >1% and under will not be extended. At least 70% of the linkshell's total population must have voted in your poll.

Notification

• You will receive an email notifying you of each stage of the application process. Once when your application is posted for discussion, once when it is moved to a vote, and then again of the result.
• If rejected, you will be informed as to the general reasons mentioned by the members why they reached such decision.
• You will not be able to review commentary made in your discussion/poll upon receiving your linkpearl.
• Your poll will be stored for documenting purposes by Recruitment and will not be seen by members after it has closed.
• You may not view/hear chat logs and interview recordings, along with the discussion pertaining to applications and interviews at any time.

Joining the Linkshell as Friend or Family

This policy allows close friends and family members of Linkshell members to join the linkshell.

• Please specify who you are affiliated with in your application so we know who to look to for finding out who you are.
• !! The Friend and Family status is intended only for people our players know in real life or for very close in-game friends whom they have played extensively with. It is not intended for you to apply when you only know our members "a little", people you just met in a group, etc. !!

The Poll
Your Application will go straight into a poll. Each member of Neutral Impact has an opportunity to vote on your application. The poll will last a minimum of 24 hours and a maximum of 72 hours. If a result is obvious, the poll will be closed early.

The Results

Notification

• Friend and Family applicants are not required to meet minimum level, gear, progression, or similar requirements to be considered.
• You will only be given "Audition" tier status in the guild. This means you will not see any recruitment sections or vote on any Linkshell-related polls.
• You must follow the Linkshell and Community rules and may be removed from the guild at any time should you not.
• It is up to the Linkshell Leaders if you can join raiding parties (and therefore earn DKP). Generally speaking, you will not be given any sort of party priority in events. If you wish to participate more in End Game, you must apply and be accepted as per our normal requirements, though failure to be accepted does not harm your existing Friend and Family status.
• Returning Members:  It is at the discretion of a Neutral Impact Leader if you can receive this status while you catch-up within the game.

Changing Linkshell Status

Should your application not be accepted, you will NOT lose your Friend or Family status.
