This afternoon the gaming crew takes a trip back in time to the bronze, silver, and golden ages of civilization. Our task--to build a better, more glorious civilization than than our neighbors, and crush them in battle while we do it! 7 Wonders is a fantastic game for those wanting to get into board gaming for the first time. A few of our players were new to this one but everyone found it satisfying nonetheless. Watch on to see who will rule the day on this episode of IGC Tabletop!
A smattering of the tabletoppers show up for our first afternoon game! A new time slot and a new game this week, and it's Dominion, a deck-building game of hand-manipulation, card advantage'ing, and deep strategy. If you're a fan of TCG or CCG games, Dominion might be right up your alley. Watch as four noobs stumble about trying to out-muscle each other for the right to flip a virtual table. Seriously guys, it's not that big a deal!
Four lords descend on Waterdeep to vie for power over the harbor, its heroes, and the heart of its people. In this deep game of questing, building, and strategic purchases, only one one of will emerge as the true Lord of Waterdeep. Who will it be? Is the music good? Why are Warriors orange? All these questions answered and thensome in our foray into the world of Faerun!
A few of the crew gathering at the table this evening to revisit Alhambra, a game about building the most badass bazaar you can. It was a short game but a fun one as well. Check out the video to see who tries to dominate the Tower market and who settles for Pavilions. Maybe it's the same guy...
In a world where rich bastards fight over the rising prices of coal, oil, trash, and uranium, only one man will emerge victorious. Power Grid takes us on a journey to overcome the evils of capitalism against the harshest of odds. Who will stand atop a mountain of cash at the end of the evening? ...Well I'll tell you what, you can find out by watching the video. I could just tell you who won but that would take the fun out of it, amirite? It's Power Grid, it's not that dramatic. Whoever writes these intros is strange.
