Gamer Groups are the newest and easiest way to become part of the IGC family today!  If you see a game you like, join today and start getting to know like-minded people who enjoy having fun in their free time!

So what are Gamer Groups (GGs) you ask?

Simple!  GGs are a gathering of people that play a certain game right here at IGC.  GGs utilize our forums, our teamspeak, and other resources to organize themselves.  These groups are open to the public (that means anyone can join!) and range in skill level from casual to hardcore.  Within each GG, independant teams may form which may compete for prize at tournaments, cons, and stuff like that.

Wow, sounds great!  How can I join?

Easily.  Each GG is run by a member of our community.  All you have to do is contact that person and find out what they need from you.  Each GG recruits differently, but what they have in common is that they like to get to know you and see if you're a good fit for the community.  The best thing you can do to network with us here is hop on our TS and start chatting us up.

Sounds easy enough.  I read your FAQ page and I was wondering if I get the same perks belonging in a Gamer Group as I do as a member of your MMO teams.

Everyone who becomes a member of IGC gets full access to everything.  There are no second-class citizens here!

I really like.  I want to start a group for a certain game, but I'm not sure where to begin. What should I do?

Great question!  All of our GGs were started by existing members of IGC who wanted to give something back to the community and share the game they enjoy with everyone else.  You don't even have to be a member to start a GG for IGC, but you will need to meet with the Community Managers to discuss setting up your group with us.  Figure out what you need (webspace, a forum, a calendar, etc.) and let us know you're interested in starting up a group for a certain game.  We rarely deny anyone the opportunity to be a leader here, so long as they have some experience and know what they're doing.  PM your proposal to Grey Jorildyn and he'll take a look at it right away.
